Hi, I’m Michael Petroglia, Director of Patient Education at Precision Hair Restoration and Robotic Hair Restoration of Long Island (RHRLI). Before guiding others through their hair restoration journeys, I embarked on my own path to regain confidence and a full head of hair.
Struggling with Hair Loss
In 2002, as a Store Director at a luxury jewelry retailer in South Florida, I became increasingly self-conscious about my receding hairline. Despite wearing fine suits and ties, the bald reflection in the mirror each morning was disheartening. The store’s bright lights seemed to highlight my hair loss, affecting my confidence.
Exploring Hair Restoration Options
Determined to address my hair loss, I considered several options: shaving my head, wearing a hairpiece, or undergoing a hair transplant. Shaving didn’t suit me, and the idea of a hairpiece was unappealing. After thorough research, I chose to have a hair transplant procedure in 2002 at Medical Hair Restoration.
My Hair Transplant Experience
The procedure I had was the FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) method. I had multiple procedures resulting in over 4,000 grafts. While the process was painful and left a linear scar, limiting my ability to wear short hairstyles, the results were transformative. I regained a full head of hair and newfound self-confidence.
Transitioning into the Hair Restoration Industry
Inspired by my experience, I joined Medical Hair Restoration in 2003, dedicating myself to helping others navigate their hair restoration journeys. After eight years, I continued my career at Anapelli Hair Clinic in NYC as a hair restoration consultant. In 2015, I partnered with Dr. Baiju Gohil to establish RHRLI, introducing the advanced ARTAS® Robotic Hair Transplant System to Long Island. As of 2025, RHRLI was welcomed into Precision Hair Group. I am now the Director of Patient Education at both RHRLI and Precision Hair Restoration.

Michael’s Son’s (Michael) Hair Restoration Story
Michael’s son, Michael Joseph, saw firsthand the incredible results that his father achieved as his hair started fully growing in the areas that were bare or thinning. Soon enough, his father had a full head of hair again. Michael Joseph was recently engaged, but there was one problem. His hair was now thinning as well. He had his father’s genes.
